Learning Disabilities Qualification (LDQ) |

Introduction:
Unfortunately this qualification is no longer available. With the implimentation of the Qualifications Curriculum Framework (QCF) many qualifications have been discontinued.
The route now recommended for training staff in Learning Disabilities is as follows:
1. New staff undertake the Skills for Care Common Induction Standard (CIS), offered free by Aspect Training
2. Staff commence the new QCF Diploma programme (Which replaced NVQ 1st Jan 2011)
3. As part of the Diploma programme staff will choose the Learning Disabilities pathway
4. Having completed the Diploma staff will be fully qualified and will not require an LDQ
