This practical course provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of safe moving and handling practices to prevent injury to themselves and the individual being moved within a care setting.

It provides the knowledge of specific legal requirements in line with up to date health and safety policies and safe systems of work procedures. The practical element allows attendees to learn how to move people safely and to understand the types of equipment used.

This course is aimed at all carers who need to lift or handle someone.
